Community Guidelines
SupportGrove is built as a judgment-free, anonymous digital sanctuary. These guidelines exist to protect your privacy, ensure mutual safety, and foster genuine healing for survivors of trauma and addiction.
Our Core Anonymity Commitments
How we protect every voice in our sanctuary
Total Anonymity
You are only known by your chosen handle. We do not require your real name, photo, phone number, or social media handles.
Empathetic Peer Support
Every member is here to seek or offer comfort. We listen without unsolicited critique, judgment, or dismissive advice.
Strict Anti-Doxxing
Sharing real names, addresses, employers, or personal contacts of yourself or others is strictly prohibited to keep everyone safe.
Protect Your Identity and Respect Others' Privacy
Because this is an anonymous platform, never post Personally Identifiable Information (PII). This includes your full legal name, email address, home location, workplace, phone numbers, or social links. Do not attempt to de-anonymize or “dox” other community members.
Zero Tolerance for Harassment, Hate Speech & Abuse
SupportGrove is a refuge for people recovering from trauma, domestic abuse, loss, and mental health battles. Any form of harassment, trolling, victim-blaming, discriminatory slurs, or hostile aggression will result in instant account termination and IP network banning.
Responsible Sharing & Sensitive Content
While members are encouraged to speak openly about difficult experiences, please tag your threads with the appropriate category (e.g. Addiction Recovery, Trauma Healing, Sexual Assault) so peers can browse with consent. Avoid glorifying self-harm or detailing suicidal methods.
No Commercial Solicitation, Scams, or Spam
Do not post affiliate links, paid therapy referrals, unlicensed pharmaceuticals, fundraising links, or unsolicited commercial advertisements. Any automated spam or repetitive promotional posting is flagged and removed.
Automated Moderation & Spam Policy
To keep our sanctuary safe without invasive identity verification, we employ community-driven moderation:
- Post Threshold: If a thread or post is reported by 10 distinct members, it is automatically hidden from the public feed.
- User Safety Threshold: If an account is reported by 10 distinct members, their associated IP address is permanently blocked from accessing the network.
In An Immediate Crisis?
SupportGrove is a peer forum, not a substitute for emergency psychiatric or emergency medical help.
